DCM’s team transformed this existing hotel development consisting of 11 five-story towers into an AMResorts Secrets brand property; an all-inclusive, adults-only Unlimited Luxury resort. Built in the 1980s, the property stands on the white sands of Playa Bonita, looking out on the bustling bay of ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal. The interior design drew inspiration from the region’s nautical history along with its local craft traditions, such as their bright textiles, locally made baskets and sombreros. The efforts concentrated on renovations to the 310 guest rooms as well as common areas and specialty restaurants.
